Boredom Strikes!

So I've been working on my Geography takehome test all day, and it's awful. Four essay questions, and 50 multiple choice? Needless to say, I took many breaks and watched parts of the mini House marathon going on tonight.
So it's been a long time since I updated! I pinky promise I'm gonna get better at this, it's just taking some time to get used to the idea. Plus, my life isn't all too exciting. I was going to take super cool pictures of my horrific face post-wisdom teeth removal, but the recovery ended up being pretty nonchalant. A little nausea, a bit of pain, but no chipmunk cheeks or bruising to take pics of. Oh well.
Thursday was the party for my friend Alyssa's birthday. We had a great time, and a bunch of us girls went out to Olive Garden. I did manage to get some pics on this occasion, although I was too cautious to bring my Baby, so I just brought the handheld.

It was an amazing night. There was this poor busboy named Chris who was very cute, and the girls harassed him all night. He was very shy, but eventually he came out to sing with the group who presented the birthday girl with her cake. Our waitress was amazing for putting up with us, and (since it is tourney week, and the restaurant was filled with highschool boys basketball teams) talking about which tables had the cutest boys at them. She was great!

So here are some recent photo projects I felt like sharing. The newest one I'm just starting (actually, haven't started yet...) is going to be candid moments of family, with polaroids! I'm so excited! But here are ones from the past semester in my photo class.

The last two are me trying to really merge my love of painting with my love of photography. I downloaded some spraypaint brushes for photoshop and worked with those to create this image. My art teacher really loved it actually. I've never been a big fan of heavy manipulation, but I really like to take photos that look like paintings, very rich and colorful. So I thought it made sense to be a work that could actually be a painting. :]

I got a chance recently to catch up with my old friend Marshall. It was really wonderful. We talked about the present past and future. It's been hard since he moved to Virginia, I've really missed his presence in my life. He was such a big part of my every day before he moved. I think I'm gonna try to spend at least a week down south this summer and visit with him. But I don't know yet. I don't even know what my plans for next fall are! I'm still really interested in the organic farming program in the Galapagos/Ecuador, but now that I've been accepted to college, I don't want to give up that opportunity. I'm also really excited about my New Hampshire Institue of Art interview and portfolio review next Friday. It's really stressful putting a portfolio together!

So I've finally updated. I'm going to trying for once a week at the very least, from now on.

Peace and love, to everyone.
